Hanoi’s culinary culture goes on display
The Hanoi City Culinary Festival will take place from October 6-11 and will introduce Hanoi’s culinary culture to the public.
The Hanoi City Culinary Festival 2010 is an official event due to take place over a ten-day period commemorating 1,000 years of Thang Long – Hanoi.

The event will honor the thousand-year-old civilization Thang Long – Hanoi as well as advertise cultural values and the culinary essence of the capital.

During the festival, visitors will be able to gain a glimpse into the daily life of Hanoians and of people from regions across the country. Well-known markets such as Dong Xuan, Dong Ba and Ben Thanh will also be represented at the event.

According to the organizing board, more than 130 restaurants have registered to participate in the festival.

The event will be organized by the Hanoi Tourism Corporation under the auspices of the Hanoi People’s Committee and Hanoi Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
